Telegram, explained simply

If you've never used Telegram, you're not alone — and you don't need to be technical to get started. Telegram is a free messaging app, much like WhatsApp or iMessage. Your Keleinik lives inside it, as your own private, personal bot that no one else can message or read.

Install Telegram on your phone

Start on your phone — Telegram accounts are created with your own mobile number, so this step has to come first.

Open the app, enter your ordinary mobile phone number, and type in the code Telegram texts you. That's it — there is no separate “Telegram number.” It's simply your own phone number.

Add it to your computer — optional

If you'd rather type on a keyboard, Telegram works on a computer too. Sign in with the same phone number and every conversation stays in sync.

Find your Telegram ID

Your Keleinik cabinet asks for your Telegram ID — a short number that identifies your account. This is not your phone number, and it's easy to find:

  • 1 In Telegram, search for @userinfobot and open it.
  • 2 Press Start — it replies right away with your account details.
  • 3 Copy the number next to Id — just digits, for example 123456789.

Finish setting up your Keleinik

Return to your cabinet, paste in that ID, and complete the setup. We'll then prepare your personal bot and email you a link — tap it on your phone or your computer, and it opens straight into Telegram, ready to talk.

Common worries

A few things people ask

  • Is Telegram free? Yes, completely — there is no charge to download it or to message your Keleinik.
  • Do I need a special “Telegram number”? No. You sign in with the phone number you already have.
  • Will Keleinik read my other chats or message anyone on my behalf? No. Your Keleinik only ever sees what you send it directly, and it never posts or writes as you.
